In her role as Manager of Strategic Initiatives, Jamila Loud supports the strategic development of cross-cutting initiatives through research, analysis, and advocacy. Prior to Advancement Project, Jamila worked as an Applied Research Analyst for NeighborWorks America focusing on quantitative data analysis of national affordable housing strategies, foreclosure mitigation, and community development initiatives. Jamila also participated in the Political and Legal Anthropology Review Fellowship Program, where her research focused on the intersections between law, power, identity, and cultural change. Jamila holds a BA in Political Science from UC Berkeley, a JD from Howard University School of Law and is currently completing her PhD at the University of Maryland, College Park in the school of Government and Politics. Jamila is a native of Los Angeles.
