Leila Forouzan

As the Senior Manager of Research and Data Analysis, Leila conducts research, analysis, and creates visualizations to measure disparity that are used in the fight for equity. She works with program staff at Catalyst California and community partners to develop effective data-based research tools to support community voices. She has contributed to many of Catalyst California’s initiatives since 2011, among them RACECOUNTS.org, Student Equity Need Indexes, community safety scorecards, and community-engaged research around Civic Engagement in Los Angeles. Her work includes using a combination of administrative data, such as Census data, and focus group or survey data to create impactful maps, charts, and other visualizations.

Leila earned her M.P.A. in Public Policy from Baruch College, City University of New York and B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh. She is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and New Orleans.
