Rudy Gonzalves serves as Policy & Research Analyst with Political Voice at Advancement Project California. He focuses on regional and statewide policy advocacy and coalition building to strengthen the political participation of communities of color. Rudy has previously served as California Director of Jobs to Move America, a national organization committed to creating good transportation jobs. He has also worked with several organizations committed to building the political power of communities of color and workers, including the United Farm Workers of America, SEIU, and California Calls. As a political director and organizer, Rudy has managed several candidate and issue campaigns throughout the state on a range of issues such as worker organizing, immigration, and voting rights. He has also served as Assistant Director with the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of the Census 2010, and served on the Monterey County Planning Commission. Rudy is an attorney, and attended U.C. Hastings College of the Law and Santa Clara University.
